Job Summary:

The IPQC/FQC/OBA Engineer is responsible for in-process quality control, final quality control, outgoing batch audit, process audit execution, defect containment, and shipment quality support for manufacturing operations. This role monitors production quality performance, verifies process compliance, drives defect analysis, supports corrective action execution, and ensures products meet quality and customer requirements before shipment. The IPQC/FQC/OBA Engineer works closely with Quality Management, Manufacturing, Test, Engineering, Planning, Warehouse, and customer-facing teams to improve process quality, product quality, and shipment quality performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support IPQC, FQC, and OBA activities across assigned manufacturing areas through process audits, product audits, final inspection checks, outgoing audits, and quality-gate verification.
  • Monitor production defects, inspection findings, audit results, shipment quality status, customer feedback, and quality KPIs to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate containment, re-inspection, sorting, rework verification, defect disposition, and shipment hold/release recommendations with Manufacturing, Test, Engineering, Warehouse, Planning, and Quality teams.
  • Support root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, verification of effectiveness, NPI/ramp quality readiness, engineering changes, inspection criteria, control plans, and process controls.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, audit checklists, defect logs, quality alerts, OBA reports, rework verification records, action trackers, and customer/audit readiness documentation.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field required.
  • Lean Six Sigma, ISO 9001, IPC, ESD, quality auditing, or related quality certification preferred.

Experience:

  • 4-7 years of quality engineering, process quality, final quality, outgoing quality, manufacturing quality, or related experience in electronics manufacturing or related industries.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting IPQC, FQC, OBA, process audits, product audits, inspection criteria, defect containment, shipment quality, and corrective actions.
  • Experience using structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, 5 Why, fishbone analysis, and defect Pareto analysis in complex electromechanical or high-mix manufacturing environments preferred.
