Position Overview

Open Arms Counseling Solutions is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team remotely from Fremont, California. The successful candidate will hold either an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW license and will work full-time to provide essential mental health services. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clientsโ€™ mental health needs, ensuring connections to appropriate community services and resources that support their recovery journey.
  • Address and manage complex issues such as trauma, substance use disorders, and family dynamics within crisis settings, using evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to discuss client challenges and share insights, thereby enhancing treatment effectiveness and client outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of client interactions, including histories, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and any relevant communications, which are paramount for continuity of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population that includes individuals from various backgrounds, ages, and socio-economic statuses. Open Arms Counseling Solutions serves clients facing an array of challenges, from mental health issues to life crises. Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Psychologist in California.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering effective counseling services to a diverse clientele.
Preferred Experience
  • Two years of direct counseling experience in a community health setting or similar environment.
  • A background in trauma-informed care and an understanding of evidence-based treatment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems which will aid in maintaining client documentation efficiently.
Compensation and Benefits
