Job description

We're actively targeting experienced NYC Construction Superintendents who have successfully run commercial interiors, retail buildouts, or high-end renovation projects from the field. This role is ideal for someone who knows how to control a jobsite, keep trades moving, and deliver projects in fast-paced NYC environments. Client Details Our client is a fast-growing NYC-based General Contractor and Construction Manager delivering commercial, retail, and high-end interior projects.

With a strong pipeline of work across Manhattan and the boroughs, they focus on execution, field leadership, and building teams that can take ownership of complex jobs. Description Manage all on-site construction activities on NYC commercial interiors and retail projects Oversee day-to-day field operations from mobilization through closeout Coordinate subcontractors across MEP, finishes, carpentry, and specialty trades Drive project scheduling, sequencing, and trade coordination on fast-track projects Maintain site safety compliance (OSHA / NYC DOB / SST requirements) Lead jobsite meetings, daily logs, and progress reporting Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and construction documents Manage site logistics, deliveries, inspections, and punchlist completion Work closely with Project Managers, Owners, and Design Teams Ensure quality control on high-end finishes and interior buildouts MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. Profile A successful Superintendent should have: 5-12+ years as a Construction Superintendent / Field Superintendent in NYC Experience with commercial interiors, retail construction, tenant fit-outs, or renovations Strong ability to manage subcontractors, jobsite logistics, and scheduling Background in fast-track construction environments Knowledge of NYC construction regulations, DOB filings, inspections, and permits Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar construction software OSHA-30 required; SST Supervisor or DOB certifications strongly preferred Job Offer Competitive base salary ranging from $130000 to $160000 USD.
