This company specializes exclusively in commercial interior fit-outs and renovations—including corporate offices, healthcare, hospitality, retail, law firms, and landlord amenity spaces. Project values typically range from $1 million to $25 million.

If you’re an experienced Project Manager who enjoys leading multiple fast-paced interior construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls.
  • Lead and mentor Assistant Project Managers while providing guidance throughout each project.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, pay applications, and project documentation using Procore.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and building management.
  • Work closely with Site Superintendents to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet quality standards.
  • Oversee NYC permitting, inspections, and DOB compliance.
  • Monitor project financials, subcontractor performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial General Contractor or Construction Manager.
  • Proven experience managing commercial interior renovation, tenant improvement, or fit-out projects valued between $1M and $25M.
  • Strong proficiency with Procore (required).
  • Experience supervising or mentoring Assistant Project Managers.
  • Strong understanding of budgets, scheduling, contracts, change orders, and project financials.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience preparing or reviewing AIA G702/G703 pay applications.
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam Revu.
  • Familiarity with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) processes, including ACP-5 and ACP-7 documentation.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience)
  • Medical benefits
  • Paid Time Off
  • 401(k)
  • Long-term career growth with an established NYC commercial construction firm
