Job description

Hours: Approximately 2-8 hours

Duties:

  • Act as assistant to the certified strength and conditioning coaches and HPC faculty/staff.
  • Attend small group strength and conditioning, conditioning, and other fitness classes held by the HPC.
  • Assist clients during small group strength and conditioning, conditioning, and other fitness classes held by the HPC.
  • Assist in the organization and management of small group strength and conditioning, conditioning, and other fitness classes held by the HPC.
  • Comply with HIPAA Policy and procedures well using Jane App for for billing and scheduling.

Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible for work-study.
  • Must be available to work afternoons/evenings.
  • Assistants should have advance interest and knowledge in strength and conditioning with a desire to obtain a certified strength and conditioning specialist certificate.
  • Prior background in fitness, exercise physiology, personal training, strength and conditioning, or an associated field. Ideal candidates are within their first four trimesters at NWHSU and can dedicate at least 12 months to working with the HPC strength and conditioning program to ensure consistency with clients.
  • Certification required (one or more) -Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), ISSA Strength and Conditioning Coach Certification (SSC), and CSCCa Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC), or other equivalent certifications.
