Job description

Description
Join the Casper's Ice Cream team and help produce our famous FatBoy Ice Cream novelties and other frozen treats! We are currently hiring for our Production Team. Employees also enjoy access to factory seconds, giving you the chance to stock your freezer with some of your favorite products.
Production team members support the manufacturing process by moving products from one conveyor to another and monitoring equipment to ensure smooth operation. This role includes loading ingredients and packaging materials into assembly equipment and placing finished products into boxes and cases for freezer storage.
Employees are responsible for performing quality checks to ensure all products meet company standards and are safe for consumers. The position also involves assisting with the weekly disassembly, cleaning, sanitation, and reassembly of food manufacturing equipment to maintain food safety and operational efficiency.
This role requires standing for the duration of the shift, along with the ability to walk, bend, squat, and climb stairs as needed. Team members must be able to lift up to 55 pounds from floor to chest height approximately 20 to 40 times per day. The work also requires good joint dexterity in the shoulders, elbows, wrists, and fingers due to the repetitive nature of many workstations.
Schedule
  • Weekend 12-hr Grave Shift: Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
  • 36 hours of work, paid for 40
  • Steady schedule - no rotating shifts
  • Enjoy 4 days off every week - that is 16+ days off per month

Pay
  • $18/hr starting pay + $3 weekend differential = $21/hr to start

Requirements
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to walk, bend, squat, and climb stairs as required
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds from floor to chest height multiple times per shift
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions using shoulders, elbows, wrists, and fingers
  • Comfortable working in an environment where peanuts and tree nuts are present

Work Environment
  • Work performed in a manufacturing environment with varying noise levels and moving equipment
  • This role involves working around industrial machinery and may include exposure to electromagnetic fields generated by production equipment
  • Exposure to food allergens, including peanuts and tree nuts including contact with skins, oils, and dust generated during processing and grinding
