Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview: The RWJ School of Nursing and Union College conduct a Cooperative Program which grants the students a Diploma in Nursing from RWJ School of Nursing and an Associate in Science Degree from Union College. The RWJ School of Nursing is fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Nursing Education, Inc. and the New Jersey State Board of Nursing.

Qualifications:

  • New Jersey RN License is required
  • MA or MS in Nursing is required; Doctorate preferred
  • Two (2) years of patient care experience is required
  • One (1) year experience in simulation preferred
  • Certificate in Simulation preferred
  • Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) or Certified Nurse Educator Clinical (CNE cl) preferred

Essential Functions:Develops, implements, and evaluates evidenced-based activities in the Learning/Simulation Lab in coordination with course faculty. Participate in simulation activities as primary instructor or as technical support to faculty members. Demonstrates nursing skills and techniques to students. Use information technologies skillfully to support the teaching-learning process, including the use of high-fidelity human simulators. Utilizes critical thinking skills to effectively communicate information, observations and/or activities to appropriate individuals. Recommends additions and deletions to the library. Provides individual and small group tutoring in the Lab. Provides ongoing feedback to students related to their strengths and weaknesses in performance of skills. Demonstrates professionalism and sensitivity when interacting with students/peers. Serves as a role model for professional nursing and adheres to the Faculty Code of Conduct.
