Job Description:
Provide support for simulation operations and technology. This will include preparation and maintenance of simulation equipment. Efficient operation of a video capture system and related multimedia peripherals. Participate as a standardized patient actor and trainer. Coordinate and manage multiple events with both internal and community stakeholders when necessary. Provide concise and accurate record keeping. Organize, procure, and create essential learning materials for simulation resourcefully and in fiscally responsible ways.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Ability to switch between multiple projects and day to day operations
  • Speaking in front of groups of medical students, residents, and other team members
  • Expressing technical information clearly and simply to non-technical persons
  • Skills Lab and Simulator Room scenario staging and clean up
  • Artistic ability to create simulated medication labels, wounds, and other medical presentations according to lesson plans or staging directions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with other faculty, staff, students, and vendors in a positive, helpful and cooperative working relationship
  • Knowledge in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn and operate proprietary software with training
  • Extensive organization and time management skills, keeping materials in order, maintain files, and follow through assignments to completion
  • Ability to act, learn, train, and coach Standardized Patients
  • Maintaining governance and safety standards
  • Ability to efficiently work on projects as a team or independently
  • Standard shift 11:00am to 7pm but available in accordance with department

Requirements:
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy/physiology
  • Associates Degree or higher
