Psychiatric Technician - Statewide in CA Position: Psychiatric Technician Location: Statewide - Multiple Locations Throughout California Annual Salary Range: $73,608–$95,527* *15% Stipend of base salary available for those working in a Psychiatric Inpatient Program California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is looking for Psychiatric Technicians across California. This unique role offers the opportunity to provide essential care within a correctional healthcare environment. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will be critical in delivering comprehensive nursing and psychiatric care to our patients, contributing to their well-being and recovery. Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE. (Applicants within four months of completing the Psychiatric Technician curriculum accredited by the BVNPTE will be admitted to the examination, but they must secure this license before being eligible for appointment.) Primary responsibilities: Organize and deliver basic general, behavioral, and psychiatric nursing care to patients, following the Mental Health Program Guide, policies, procedures, and regulations. Administer care based under the clinical direction and delegation of the Registered Nurse (RN). Support daily health care operations, including assisting the efficient functioning of the care team. Work closely with the health care team to address ongoing patient needs and foster a collaborative and supportive environment. Promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources in all aspects of patient care. Adhere to all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures in the delivery of care within a correctional health care setting.
