The below represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Deep and broad expertise in consumer or commercial risk management encompassing knowledge of processes and systems
  • Ability to build strong relationships, operate effectively within large cross-functional teams, and influence business partners to drive transformational change
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to think outside the box and design industry leading solutions
  • Understanding of Scaled Agile (SAFe) principles and experience effectively managing a backlog of competing initiatives desirable
  • Knowledge of fraud authorization, credit bureau, decision science models or experience in another core fraud risk management function and/or knowledge of Amex data and risk technology platforms preferred
  • High degree of organization, individual initiative and personal accountability
  • An ability to solve complex problems and a highly analytical approach
  • Risk Capabilities experience is highly desired
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/technology/engineering/business management or related field is mandatory
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of product management/ownership or product development experience developing fraud management products 
  • A strong product mindset, proactive communication and a collaborative spirit.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment
  • Master's Degree (or comparable experience) in management, computer science, engineering or a related discipline is ideal

  • This role combines the responsibilities of a Product Manager and a Product Owner.
  • The Product Manager leads transformation of risk systems, plays a central role in detailing the blueprint, and works in close partnership with stakeholders in RPDS, as well as external experts, to arrive at the best design/solution and oversee its execution. 
  • This is a stakeholder facing role that is responsible for process vision and roadmap, customer experience, business architecture, capturing and grooming requirements, prioritization, status tracking and reporting, adefining process SLAs and controls.
  • The RPDS Product Owner team is responsible for owning the fraud and risk aspects of new product launches and updates to current offerings. To accomplish this, the RPDS Product Owner team partners with Global Risk Technologies as well as the Product teams, Strategy partners, and Enterprise Architects (Data/Enterprise/Technical), and works with managers and directors to design solutions and strategies using predictive models and strategies for Amex Card and Non-Card products. They collaborate with partners on other Risk teams, Marketing, Finance, Global Servicing Network, Legal/Compliance, Banking, and Technology to create world-class analytical capabilities and solutions to minimize credit and fraud risk and improve customer experience.
