About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Director of Quality & Risk Management to lead our organizational quality improvement and risk management programs. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across clinical and operational departments. This senior-level role requires a strong clinical background, proven leadership capability, and expertise in healthcare quality, patient safety, and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management initiatives across the organization.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality and risk management strategies, policies, and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, and legal standards (e.g., TJC, CMS).
  • Analyze quality data and metrics; prepare reports and present findings to senior leadership and governing bodies.
  • Lead root cause analyses (RCA), failure mode and effects analyses (FMEA), and corrective action planning.
  • Partner with nursing, medical, and operational leadership to embed a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage risk assessments, incident reporting systems, and liability mitigation strategies.
  • Mentor and develop quality and risk management staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) clinical license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership and/or management experience in a healthcare setting, with focus on nursing, risk, and/or quality improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.
