Place Showroom is the epicenter for emerging brands. We are a team of highly motivated and driven entrepreneurs. Our locations span across the nation and we are looking for a great candidate to join our team.
Place Showroom is seeking a Director of Sales to join our West Coast team. This is a dynamic position and we are looking for a bright individual to work with our Contemporary Brands with both Major and Specialty retailers. The candidate should be a quick learner, self-starter, dependable, and proactive with the ability to excel under pressure.
The position will partner with our Executive team and Sr. Sales Director to oversee a segment of the West Coast business. The candidate will team up with our Majors and Specialty Division to build sales strategies and distribution plans throughout the United States. The candidate must be comfortable with both managing a team and handling a personal book of business.
Duties include, but are not limited to,
  • Develop and execute a global strategic plan for growth and expansion for our contemporary business through existing and new distribution channels across department stores, e-commerce and specialty stores.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor and develop a team through a sense of teamwork and collaboration
  • Cultivate strong relationships with both department stores including at the management level and specialty stores across North America
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners across sales, merchandising, operations and finance
  • Drive new business development initiatives

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • MUST have extensive experience in the wholesale apparel industry, with strong relationships in the women's contemporary market
  • MUST have extensive experience leading a high performing sales team
  • Strong time management skills; motivated and takes initiative, works efficiently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Exercises excellent judgment when decision making
  • Display professionalism with individuals at all levels in and outside the organization

Salary range: $175,000 - $200,000 plus bonus, commensurate with experience
