Job description

ReNuke Services is seeking a Nuclear Procurement Specialist for our client"s site Seneca, SC!
DESCRIPTION:
7:00am to 5:30pm Mon through Thursday
This is the intermediate level of the Procurement classification hierarchy within the Nuclear Supply Chain organization.. Employees at this level solve more complex problems, with some areas of specialization, with general direction from Management. Manage the procurement of products and services that align with Business Unit requirements and standards

Incumbents are expected develop advanced skills and the ability to work with greater independence. They effectively apply fundamental concepts and procedures to work that are fairly complex and varied.
Responsibilities:
*Provides plant coverage (7/24) during outages and online in accordance with developed schedules.
*Participates on weekly rotating duty roster to support emergent Business Unit needs after hours and weekends.
*Attains qualifications to approve purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders and contracts; track and expedite materials and parts for scheduled work and outages; support and perform other nuclear procurement functions as necessary.
*Provides customer support as necessary to assist with material demands.
*Provides advanced procurement services such as but not limited to expediting (managing and maintaining purchase orders and/or contracts with vendors), supports online and outage coordinator, resolution of invoice mismatches, pricing, quantity, inventory, material transfer, logistic issues, support resolution to exceptions on terms and conditions with appropriate input from legal and others, utilize power advocate for bid events with limited direction by Management, etc. Promotes advanced procurement and generation of sustainable cost savings and inventory reduction savings.
*Provides advanced guidance to the business unit on procurement process, best sourcing options, materials management strategies including transfers, cost controls, and avoidance of procurement issues.
*Develops and improves supplier relationships and ensures compliance with supplier agreements to help realize value added services benefits

Acts as liaison between external suppliers and the Business Unit. Understands supplier capabilities establishes relationships with suppliers and negotiates cost savings and inventory reductions.
*Demonstrates a strong sense of Business Unit and Supplier focus and cultivates Business Unit and Supplier relationships. For example, by providing customer service functions such as responding to customer inquiries and providing material status to support work schedules.
*Ensures compliance with all related federal and state laws and regulations and business standards.
*Demonstrates advanced capabilities associated with analyzing and evaluating supplier performance.
*Demonstrates advanced planning skills, organizational skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, and analytics skills

Additional Job Description
