Join our highly visible team and perform technically challenging assignments, which will closely contribute to protecting our nation and our products.  We are seeking a Principal Systems Engineer – Cybersecurity, to function as a key contributor for the Product Cybersecurity engineering team.

As a member of the Integrated Platform Solutions team, we want you to develop solutions to secure the Warfighter’s technology advantage. Our team creates security solutions leveraging multiple disciplines and processes like Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A), Anti-Tamper (AT), Software Assurance, Hardware Assurance, Cryptographic Solutions using NSA High Assurance (Type 1) and/or FIPS 140-3 Certification, and Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) to support Program Protection Implementation across major programs.

What YOU will do:

  • YOU will implement security improvements by assessing current customer requirements and environment; evaluating trends; developing security architecture and requirements, and design architecture artifacts, plans, and policies.

  • YOU will support and develop Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessment documentation and conduct cybersecurity controls validation testing resulting in the Authorization to Operate (ATO) decision.

  • YOU will perform analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results.

  • YOU will conduct cybersecurity audits and perform compliance evaluations to ensure appropriate implementation and continuous compliance of the security posture of the product system.

  • YOU will collaborate with engineering disciplines to minimize cybersecurity threats to the deployed designs/products.

  • YOU will gain valuable experience and an opportunity for growth as a Sr. Principal Systems / Cybersecurity Engineer and proceed toward Tech Fellow and/or Chief Security Engineer.

  • YOU will gain knowledge to become a subject matter expert (SME) and leader in cybersecurity with exposure to the variety of businesses and products in an ever evolving field.  We are growing and so can you!

Qualifications YOU must have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 4 years’ experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • DoD 8570.01-M IASAE Level II or Level III Compliant Certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, or equivalent).

  • Experience in Systems Engineering requirements, specifications, and experience implementing DoD and Federal IA certification, accreditation, and authorization processes, IA controls and developing and maintaining associated documentation and experience with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) from NIST Special Publication 800-53, and as described in NIST Special Publication 800-37.

  • Experience with security systems and cybersecurity engineering involving embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS), various computer hardware and software, operating system and application solutions in both a stand-alone and in LAN/WAN configurations.

Qualifications we prefer:

  • Active and transferable U.S. Government DoD TOP SECRET security clearance.

  • Familiar with NSA High Assurance (Type 1) certification process.

  • Experience with Program Protection Plans (PPP) DoDI 5000.02 and DoDI 5200.39.

  • Experience with security features and/or vulnerability analysis of real-time operating systems (RTOS).

  • Proven experience with embedded systems security, network protocols, Linux security, and hardware-based security (HSM, TPM, Secure Boot).

  • Experience working on U.S. Government contract proposals as an Information Assurance or Cybersecurity Engineer subject matter expert experienced professional.

  • Familiar with cloud and/or virtualization technologies.

  • Experience with IT and/or network and system security administration, including operating system security configuration and account administration best practices for UNIX, MS Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and CISCO Systems.

  • Experience with usage of information security toolsets including anti-virus, Vulnerability Assessment, HIDS/ NIDS host-based or endpoint security solutions, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) and centralized auditing resources.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
