Job description

PEKO is a full-service, debt-free, privately-owned contract manufacturer with over 50 years embedded in the Rochester, NY community. In collaboration with our valued business partners, we deliver new product development (NPI) strategies for product commercialization and provide solutions in the medical, industrial, defense, and renewable energy industries. The Opportunity: Powder Coater
Primary Function: The Powder Coater is responsible for preparing and painting various sheet metal products. They will securely hang prepared parts in the spray booth and then operate a powder coating spray gun. Once the item has been sprayed, the Powder Coater will place parts into oven for processing and examine the finished products for compliance.
Essential Functions:
  • Follows work instructions to powder coat sheet metal parts for various customers.
  • Reviews finished parts, ensuring compliance with customer quality standards.
  • Assists on other projects as assigned.

Reports To: Industrial Paint Manager
What We're Looking For:
  • Highschool or GED Equivalent
  • 1 year powder coating experience preferable
  • Attention to detail
  • Possess through understanding of all processes in the painting area
  • Ability to understand and carry out complicated verbal and written instructions
