Technical Services Manager (Manufacturing / Operations Support)

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Services Manager to lead technical support, workforce training, and continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for supervising technical staff, developing workforce capability, and driving operational excellence through strong leadership, problem-solving, and process optimization.


Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Supervision
  • Supervise daily activities of technical services staff, including scheduling, coaching, performance management, and training
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and safety-focused work environment
  • Partner with production supervisors and cross-functional teams to optimize operational performance
  • Mentor employees on project management principles and execution

Training, Development & Workforce Readiness
  • Lead hands-on training of machine operators on proper setup, changeovers, and best practices to ensure safe and efficient production
  • Develop and implement structured onboarding and training programs for new hires
  • Provide ongoing coaching to build technical capability, problem-solving skills, and ownership of equipment performance
  • Drive workforce development initiatives such as cross-training, succession planning, and building bench strength
  • Identify skill gaps and partner with leadership to implement targeted training plans
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing

Technical Support & Troubleshooting
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex production and equipment issues
