Our ideal candidate has 2 or more years of dental assisting experience, a current DA/EDDA certification, and excellent patient care, organization, and communication skills. Responsibilities

  • Seat and prepare patient for care
  • Prepare room, equipment and instruments
  • Take vital signs and update medical history as needed
  • Explain scheduled treatment, obtain consent forms, and deliver post-op instructions
  • Inventory, ordering and stocking
  • Radiographs and intraoral imaging, including annual inspections
  • Chair-side assisting, including suctioning & 4-handed dentistry
  • Nitrous administration and monitoring
  • Charting and note-taking
  • Proper maintenance of equipment, biohazards, sterilizers, amalgam separators, waterlines, and handpieces
  • Ensuring patient comfort throughout the procedure or examination
  • Provide post-op and home care instructions for patients
  • Specialty referrals and prescription care
  • Manage lab cases
  • Inventory, ordering and stocking
  • Provide exceptional patient care and help the team stay on time
  • Ensure all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use


Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Sterilization and asepsis training – INFECTION CONTROL
  • OSHA/HIPAA knowledge
  • Able to take X-rays (digital) including pano, bitewings, vertical bitewings, FMX, and single PAs
  • Able to take and pour impressions and trim/prepare for bite guard/whitening tray fabrication, as well as 3D Scan
  • Coronal polishing, flossing, fluoride application, sealants, and hygiene instructions
  • Knowledge of general dentistry, including clear aligners and major restorative
  • Familiar with all general dentistry procedures, including implant restoration
  • Current BLS/CPR certification is required
  • Experience with dental software, updating patient histories, and computer skills are needed
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors and patients
  • Reliable and committed to compassionate patient care

Compensation

$27 - $30 hourly - BOE
