K2 Dermatology is hiring! We are seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! This is a great opportunity for post-baccalaureate students seeking experience and a great foundation for Medical School, Nursing School, or P.A. School. We are a teaching clinic where our Medical Assistants can expect unmatched hands-on training and experience, as well as guidance and assistance with the application process

You will perform routine clinical and administrative tasks to keep our Dermatology Clinic running smoothly. This position is 35-40 hours per week, spread over a 4-day work week. No nights or weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Dermatology Care Providers with patient workflow from check-in to check-out and follow-ups
  • Assist Dermatology Care Providers with an array of patient procedures including surgeries, suture removals, and injections
  • Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff, including taking patient medical histories, scribing and note taking
  • Communicate with insurance companies for authorizations and proper billing procedures
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms

Qualifications:

  • Strong general knowledge of Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy
  • Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
  • Familiarity with medical practice management software
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in an occasionally fast-paced environment
