The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Salesforce Technical Project Manager to support a potential contract with Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) in Northern Virginia.
This is a full-time position supporting an active proposal. Should we be successful in winning the contract, the Salesforce Technical Project Manager will lead a team of technical experts in the implementation of Salesforce at CBP.
This role requires a self-starter with a strong technical understanding of Salesforce, who is equally focused on Agile program management and supporting cross-functional technical teams.
What You'll Do
- Manage cross-functional teams in a highly collaborative work environment.
- Apply full lifecycle Agile program management methods.
- Effectively communicate with senior levels of a customer organization.
- Deliver solutions to produce and/or migrate legacy applications to new modern platforms.
- Meet with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items as well as effectively execute those items in accordance with approved plans.
- Ensure a fully functional and productive team, enable close cooperation across all roles and functions, shield the team from external interferences and remove barriers, facilitate daily scrums/project meetings, communicate information outside the team, keep the team focused on the tasks at hand, and conduct stakeholder management.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- BS degree in computer science or related field.
- 8 - 10 years experience with Salesforce
- 3 - 5 years experience as a Project Manager
- Ability to obtain a BI (Tier 5) background investigation.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience supporting a civilian federal government agency
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism
Preferred Qualifications:
- A certification in project management from a recognized credentialing agency (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Program Management Professional from the Project Management Institute is preferred.
- MS Degree in a related field is a plus but not required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This is an ON-SITE POSITION located in Ashburn, VA. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
