THE ROLE
As a Part-Time Day Service Associate in La Crosse, you will support individuals with disabilities in our adult day services program. No two days will ever look the same in this position, if you are looking for a fun position where you can make a difference, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION
  • Competitive hourly rate of $16.35/hr
  • Part-Time - 10-29 hours a week
  • Flexible Scheduling; this position offers shifts that are 2 - 9 hours long
  • Monday through Friday daytime hours with shifts between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
  • One Saturday a month availability

RESPONSIBILITIES
No two days will ever be the same in day services. Your work will fall into 1 of 3 categories: Group Staff, 1:1 Staff, or Support Staff.
Group Staff Responsibilities:
  • Lead groups through discussion and projects such as art, exercise and wellness, cooking, science, music, community inclusion, and more.
  • Bring creative and exciting ideas to add to pre-made curriculums that will engage participants during group block.

1:1 Staff:
  • Work with 1 or 2 participants at a time to build specific skills or routines
  • Participants who work with 1:1 staff typically need additional support either medically or behaviorally.

Support Staff:
  • Support staff as a whole
  • Assist with providing breaks, aiding in personal care and/or range of motion, cleaning, and more.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Access to reliable non-public transportation with required insurance coverage
  • Flexibility in scheduling
  • Ability to operate computer equipment; knowledge of various software packages
