Job description

Effective 6/28/26:
  • New increased base pay $20/hour
  • 1st and 2nd Shift Opportunities with the ability to earn up to $22.50/hour based on position/shift.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Equipment Operator operates motorized riding equipment within the Distribution Center, manually loads and/or unloads trailers, moving merchandise to designated areas and putting away or pulling merchandise. Outfitter will be cross trained in other departments as needed and may be asked to carry out special projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Operates motorized riding equipment.
  • Loads or unloads trailers by hand, i.e. up to and including, grills, tree stands, safes, kayaks, etc.
  • Transports product to appropriate staging areas or processing areas.
  • Loads outbound trailers.
  • Routes received merchandise to storage area and provides positive identification.
  • Uses scanners to read bar codes on labels and product.
  • Operates equipment which includes working in storage racking as high as 30 ft.
  • Performs safety checks.
  • Assists in daily cleanup duties.
  • Routinely and consistently drives equipment 75% or greater of time in position.
  • Performs manual or physical job duties, based upon DC needs.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum age 18
  • Successful completion of a driving test and written test is required test is required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
  • Ability to be machine certified.
  • Production standards and accuracy are especially important aspects of the position that are closely monitored.
  • Ability to communicate with fellow employees in a courteous and professional manner and be a team player.
  • Must have multitasking skills
  • Commitment to safety rules and procedures
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule with mandatory overtime, when scheduled.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and must work well with numbers.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • No travel is required for this role.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, i.e. repetitive walking, standing, kneeling, bending, stretching, and climbing up and down step ladder for duration of shift and overtime when scheduled.
  • Must be able to repetitively lift, push, pull and carry 50 lbs. for duration of shift and overtime when scheduled.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Required to work indoor in a non-climate-controlled environment.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
  • Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
