Primary Roles You’ll Master

  • Loader Operator: Operate a large Front End Wheel Loader to move asphalt plant material, load trucks, and manage material throughout the plant site. Maintain detailed logs of your work and support efficient operations.
  • Plant Operator: Oversee the millings crushing plant, ensuring proper setup, operation, and maintenance for maximum efficiency. Manage plant automation and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Mechanic: Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair the asphalt plant, loaders, trucks, and other heavy equipment. Use your technical skills to keep everything running reliably and safely.

What You'll Do

  • Perform daily safety checks on all equipment—your safety is our first priority.
  • Operate machinery to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Communicate with the onsite foreman about daily tasks and goals.
  • Follow established routes and procedures to ensure safety and quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and report any issues to your supervisor.
  • Support regular plant maintenance including welding, conveyor and bearing replacement, oil changes, and more.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: At least two years of experience in one or more of the following—front end loader, dozer, excavator, quality control, mechanic, or plant operations.
  • Asphalt Plant or Crushing knowledge recommended.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Comfortable outdoors in all weather conditions and able to lift 75 lbs (with help for heavier loads).
  • Ability to work on rough terrain, climb machinery, and perform manual tasks with care.
  • Basic math and reasoning skills, plus competency in reading and following instructions.
  • Strong communication skills, especially in noisy environments.
  • Licenses: Valid Class E driver’s license (clean driving record).
  • Education: No formal education required—your hands-on skills and work ethic count most.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.
  • Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
  • Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed.
  • Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.
  • Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.
