What is a non union Helium Network?

A Non Union Helium Network refers to a decentralized wireless network built on the Helium blockchain, where participants are not part of a formal union or labor organization. These networks are powered by individuals and businesses who deploy Helium-compatible hotspots to provide wireless coverage for Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Participants earn rewards in the form of Helium tokens (HNT) for contributing to the network's expansion and reliability. Such networks enable low-power, long-range connectivity for devices like sensors, trackers, and smart meters, all without relying on traditional telecom infrastructure.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Helium Network engineer?

To thrive as a Helium Network Engineer, you need a strong background in wireless networking, IoT technologies, and blockchain fundamentals, typically supported by a degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields. Familiarity with Helium's network architecture, LoRaWAN protocols, network monitoring tools, and experience with blockchain platforms are essential. Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and collaborative communication skills help you address network issues and coordinate with stakeholders. These skills ensure reliable network operations, efficient deployment of IoT solutions, and the long-term growth of the Helium ecosystem.
