About the Team

The Global Customer Operations (GPO) Strategy & Planning organization drives the medium and long term strategy & execution for GCO. We do this by turning ideas into decisions, rapidly commercializing new innovation, building programs that generate pipeline and we have a deep understanding of GCO processes end-to-end. Part of this team is the M&A and NOL(New Offer Launch) effort with the charter to commercialize all types of innovation (Organic, Inorganic & Partner) to bring them to market with speed & efficiency.

About the Role

The Global Customer Operations M&A/NOL(New Offer Launch) effort is looking for a skilled program manager with an interest in driving the readiness to deliver organic innovation through new offers and solutions that increase revenue, decrease operating cost, and improve the experience of our Workmates and Customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the readiness across GCO to realize the potential of new offers that Workday is bringing to market

  • Work across GCO to ensure cross-functional partners have execution plans in place for GTM Strategy, Deal Management, Enablement, Systems/Tools, CX, Pricing/Packing and others to achieve launch success

  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery, and develop contingency plans to address potential roadblocks

  • Exercises independent judgment in methods & techniques to ensure success of the initiatives

  • Proactively identify strategic recommendations, opportunities for improvement, and propose process and system improvements

  • Create formal networks across the company to coordinate and collaborate across constituents & peer groups

  • Manage program documentation throughout the program lifecycle in various collaboration tools, including Smartsheet and Google Sheets

  • Define program objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders, including senior leadership and cross-functional teams ensuring alignment with organizational goals

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing by establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with stakeholders to provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues, and solicit feedback and input as needed

  • Minimum 8 years experience in project or program management, defining, launching, and iterating on impactful projects or programs

  • Minimum 5 years experience in project or program management, defining, launching, and iterating on impactful projects or programs

Other qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to lead Cross-Functional Alignment across multiple departments and teams, ensuring outcomes like seamless collaboration or shared understanding on program objectives
  • Deep understanding of Governance Management principles and the ability to establish and enforce governance elements for programs and projects
  • Proven ability to lead Meeting Facilitation effectively for large and complex meetings, ensuring like clear agendas, active participation from diverse groups, and decisive action
  • Proven Proactive Thinking skills by like anticipating strategic challenges, identifying future opportunities, or developing contingency plans for programs
  • Strong understanding of Project Documentation standards and the ability to create, manage, and maintain comprehensive documentation for complex programs and projects
  • Strong Project Management skills, including areas like stakeholder management for non-technical programs and projects
  • Deep understanding of Risk Mitigation Strategies and the ability to develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive risk response plans
  • Proven Schedule Development skills by creating integrated master schedules and managing critical paths for complex programs
  • Good understanding of Solution Planning processes and the ability to lead resolution for addressing significant business challenges through programs
  • Proven ability to lead Stakeholder Engagement by like building strong relationships, influencing key stakeholders, and managing expectations at various levels
  • Solid understanding of Strategic Alignment and the ability to ensure programs directly contribute to and support innovation launch/NOL goals and objectives


Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location.
