About the Job
 

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Minnesota occasionally needs to hire employees on a temporary basis through the year. These positions perform a variety of nonacademic and/ or academic work responsibilities in a temporary work schedule.

Temporary: Limited to 67 or fewer days of work in a
calendar year. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with Department of Chemistry faculty and/ or research staff to facilitate ongoing research
  • Gather and analyze data
  • Administrative support tasks

This does not constitute a posting for vacancies, but establishes a pool of applicants should openings occur during the 2026-2027 fiscal year (July 2026 - June 2027). Applicants will be selected from this pool on an as-needed basis. Appointments are based on need, funding, and performance.

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Minnesota (UMN) provides a world-class education through classroom teaching and cutting-edge research. Pay and Benefits
 

Pay Range: $15.25- $30.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
