Position Overview
Rider University invites applications for a Coordinator of Academic Records and Student Registration. Reporting to the Assistant Registrar, the Coordinator of Academic Records and Student Registration is responsible for the day-to-day administration of new student registration and degree conferral processing. This position ensures accurate student enrollment, proper application of academic program requirements, and timely certification of degree completion. The Coordinator works closely with Admissions and Academic Affairs to support onboarding, registration accuracy, and graduation processing.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates the transfer credit evaluation process, including official and unofficial evaluation of credits for all undergraduate, continuing education, and high school dual enrollment students.
  • Process transfer credit equivalencies in the student information system.
  • Enter IB, CLEP, and AP scores into the student information system and award applicable credit.
  • Process approved course substitutions and academic exceptions.
  • Conduct course registration appointments with new transfer students to discuss credit evaluations, curriculum planning, degree audit requirements, and ensure proper course placement within academic program requirements.
  • Assists with updates to the NJ Transfer program and course updates.
  • Review graduation applications for eligibility.
  • Conduct final degree audits to verify completion of all academic requirements.
  • Run routine reports related to new student enrollment, degree completion, and graduation eligibility.
  • Assist at admission events including, but not limited to, open houses and admitted student days to assist prospective transfer students as it relates to transfer credit evaluations.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-4 years of experience in a Registrar's Office, Enrollment Services, or academic administrative environment
  • Experience with a student information system
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven work
  • Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Bilingual
