Position Overview
Rider University invites applications for a Financial Aid Officer. The Financial Aid Officer provides front-line, student-centered financial aid support for students and families visiting One Stop Services. This role focuses on walk-in traffic, in-person, phone, Zoom, and email inquiries, helping students navigate financial aid processes, answer questions, and resolve routine issues. The Financial Aid Officer ensures accurate information, seamless service, and a positive student experience while collaborating closely with Financial Aid colleagues and other campus partners.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to student-centered service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple inquiries, and provide accurate information.
  • Knowledge of financial aid processes and federal and state regulations.
  • Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Experience with Banner and EAB Navigate, or similar SIS/CRM platforms.
  • Prior experience in higher education, financial aid, enrollment services, or front-line student support.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Ability to identify operational improvements and contribute to team-based problem-solving.
