Plating Assistant
2nd Shift 2:00pm- 10:30pm
The Plating Assistant supports the plating department by keeping the lines clean, prepped, and running. The role performs cleaning, line maintenance, rack repair, and supporting tasks under the direction of the Electroplater and reports to the Polishing & Plating Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
Perform ultrasonic cleaning of product.
Assist with chemical additions to tanks as directed.
Perform daily inspection and maintenance of the plating lines.
Perform weekly clean-up of the plating lines.
Make and repair racks for plating applications.
Support the racking department to prepare items for plating if needed.
Monitor levels of plating supplies and consumables and notify the supervisor when replenishment is needed.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and follow all chemical-handling and PPE requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
What You Bring
Experience in plating preferred but not required.
Experience handling or working around industrial chemical applications preferred but not required.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with others.
Basic English communication skills, sufficient to follow instructions and safety information.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to stand for extended periods and work around plating tanks, chemicals, and fumes in an industrial environment.
Some areas of the facility are not climate controlled and may be hot in summer or cold in winter
Safety
Adheres to and promotes all company safety rules and requirements, including chemical handling, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures.

  • Experience in plating is preferred but not required.
