Work Type: Hybrid (4 days onsite required)
FLSA Status: Exempt
Compensation: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 annually depending on experience and alignment with the role

Who We Are

At Clearly Filtered, we exist to build people up. We’re on a mission to help people protect their health, starting with the water they drink. We create high-performance water filtration products backed by science and transparency, and we hold ourselves to a simple standard: every person who finds us should be better off for it.

We’re a growing direct-to-consumer company with a team that cares deeply about our employees, our customers, our products, and doing great work together.

About the Role

We’re looking for an IT Manager who is equally at home fixing a laptop and building a security awareness training program. This is a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground role and the primary IT resource for everyone at Clearly Filtered. You’ll own end-user support, device and systems management, IT security and compliance, and employee training, and you’ll work closely with our Data & Technology team on anything that requires deeper technical architecture. The right person is organized, responsive, and self-directed. You receive high-level direction and figure out the rest yourself!
*This is an onsite position based in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Candidates should only apply if they are able to work onsite 4 days per week.

What You’ll Do

End-User IT Support

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues quickly and effectively
  • Support all company equipment including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and accessories
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, password resets, and access requests across all platforms
  • Assist with new hire equipment setup and configuration
  • Support conference room AV and onsite technology needs
  • Maintain a help desk process for tracking and resolving support requests

Systems & Asset Management

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware, software licenses, and peripherals
  • Own the full employee technology lifecycle from provisioning through offboarding
  • Administer company software platforms including user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access management
  • Keep all software and operating systems current with patches and updates
  • Manage IT vendor relationships for hardware, software, and services

IT Security & Compliance

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce IT security policies covering acceptable use, device security, and data handling
  • Manage endpoint security including antivirus, MDM, and device encryption
  • Own access control and identity management across all company systems
  • Monitor for security threats and respond when issues arise
  • Support compliance requirements and conduct periodic security audits
  • Maintain data backup and business continuity processes

IT Training & Enablement

  • Deliver IT onboarding for all new hires covering systems, equipment, and security expectations
  • Build and maintain an IT resource library of how-to guides and FAQs
  • Lead annual company-wide security awareness training including phishing simulations
  • Educate employees on security threats and best practices in plain, accessible language

What You Bring

Required

  • 4+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related role
  • Hands-on experience supporting a Mac environment including hardware troubleshooting, software configuration, and network support
  • Experience managing a Google Workspace including configuring permissions, services, spam filtering, and DNS
  • Experience managing user accounts, permissions, and access across cloud-based SaaS platforms such as Monday.com, Shopify, or similar
  • Experience with physical networking infrastructure including cabling, hardware management, AP placement, and software management
  • Familiarity with MDM platforms for device management and endpoint security
  • Working knowledge of IT security principles including access control, data protection, and security awareness
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends as business needs require

Preferred

  • Familiarity with IT compliance frameworks
  • Experience building or formalizing IT policies, onboarding programs, or security training from scratch
  • Experience administering or supporting Meraki network infrastructure
  • Experience supporting a hybrid or remote workforce

What Success Looks Like

  • Shared technology used in the office and in meeting rooms is properly installed, configured, and helps employees do their jobs efficiently
  • Cross-functional partners describe IT as responsive, reliable, and easy to work with
  • All company devices are inventoried, secured, patched, and consistently managed
  • New hires are fully set up and trained on day one without IT delays
  • Security awareness is high across the organization, employees know what to do and what not to do
  • IT policies are documented, enforced, and understood
  • Security incidents are rare, and when they do occur, response is fast and well-coordinated
