We are seeking an experienced and visionary Permanent Senior Director of IT, Applications to join our dynamic team in the Tech Services industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of our IT applications, ensuring the alignment of our technology resources with the company's short-term and long-term goals. The role involves overseeing the design, development, and implementation of organizational information systems, software applications, and IT support and infrastructure systems. The Senior Director will also be responsible for managing and developing a high-performing team, while ensuring the company's IT applications are reliable, secure, and efficient.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the strategic IT roadmap, ensuring alignment with the business strategy and goals.
  • Oversee the management of all IT applications including Office 365, business intelligence tools, CRM, and other enterprise systems.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of new software applications to enhance business operations and decision-making.
  • Ensure the security of all IT applications through the implementation of robust information security policies and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing IT team, providing training and support as necessary.
  • Oversee the provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
  • Monitor the performance of IT systems to determine cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ensure the continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and innovations, and implement new technologies as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior IT management role, preferably in the Tech Services industry.
  • Proven experience in IT strategic planning, organization, and development.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Office 365, Configuration, business intelligence, data analytics, CRM, and other enterprise systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent vendor management skills with a track record of managing suppliers and contracts.
  • Experience with IT governance and risk management.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing and managing information security systems.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead the development and implementation of complex IT projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience in artificial intelligence and software development will be an added advantage.
