Summary

The Global Account Director will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of key global accounts in the transportation and logistics industry. They will be accountable for driving revenue growth, developing and executing account strategies, ensuring customer satisfaction, and leading a team of account managers. The Global Account Director will report to the Vice President of Sales.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead global alignment of the account management structure for a specific account portfolio, across multiple regions, communicate and coordinate the global strategy for each account
• Develop and execute account strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at assigned global accounts
• Identify opportunities to expand services and increase revenue within assigned accounts
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational excellence and timely resolution of customer issues
• Prepare and present business reviews and performance reports to clients and DSV management
• Conduct regular account planning and review meetings with the team
• Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication, responsiveness, and issue resolution

Educational background / Work experience

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field is required
• Master's degree in business or a related field is preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales or account management in the transportation and logistics industry
• Experience managing global accounts and developing account strategies is required

• Experience working in a multinational corporation is required

• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Language skills

• Fluency in English is required
• Proficiency in other languages is a plus

Computer Literacy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required
• Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) is preferred.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $120,000 - $150,000  / Annual.  Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations.  This position can report to office at any of our DSV USA locations.
