Great Lakes Wine & Spirits continues to grow as we seek an On Premise Sales Consultant for our Brand Development Division servicing multiple customer accounts in Oakland County.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The On Premise Sales Consultant is a field-based sales role that focuses on selling, servicing, developing and growing the GLWAS portfolio of products within established customer accounts. This role provides a phenomenal introduction into both sales and the adult beverage industry with one of the strongest portfolios around - coupled with a winning team culture. Great Lakes Wine & Spirits takes pride within and provides upward mobility into possible on-premise, independent, management roles based upon performance.
Sales Consultants will be responsible for servicing a specified group of accounts in their 'Master Routes' growing total territory volume and revenue while achieving other growth objectives for the company. Other duties include but not limited to:
  • Achieve monthly objectives on priority brands, specified programs and qualitative initiatives.
  • Perform at or above the divisional minimum standard for Well, Drink Menu, Back Bar placements, and specified programs in assigned territory.
  • Generate positive business relationships with decision makers in assigned accounts.
  • Present prepared, professional, persuasive, fact-based, personalized sales presentations.
  • Develop and maintain excellent product knowledge on relative GLWAS products.
  • Demonstrate strong product knowledge on competitive product and utilize to enhance sales of GLWAS products.
  • Demonstrate initiative to grow overall spirits, beverage, and category knowledge.
  • Demonstrate competency of account 'Standards of Performance' through account conditions.
  • Enhances pull through with proper use of promotional materials and services.
  • Monitors inventory in all areas of the account including Well and Back Bar to generate greater sales.
  • Regularly reviews lists and features to ensure accuracy and GLWAS share.
  • Ensure promotional materials are accurate, relevant, up-to-date, and advantageously placed.
  • Utilizes pre-plan, and tracking forms as instructed to execute priorities.
  • Communicates proactively with customers and management.
  • Aligns daily activities to the needs and priorities of the company, as directed.
  • Collaborates with sales team and division by being a contributor.
  • Utilizes samples efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensures vehicle is clean, organized, and properly stocked with adequate point-of-sale materials.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday. Employees may be able to set their schedules to adequately satisfy routes based on customer's needs and serviced store locations. Evenings and weekend hours may be required based on holiday schedules and business needs.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This position operates in the field with daily travel, driving in all weather conditions. Physical demands require to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, stoop and climb throughout the day while lifting, stacking, moving, and rotating items without handles that weigh up to 50 pounds. Pushing and pulling carts up to 100 pounds of force and operating warehouse equipment may be needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • High School Diploma/GED (bachelor's degree preferred)
