Job description

Outpatient Clinic RN - Cardiology & Disease Management | Contract Assignment

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Days | Monday - Friday

Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments, nursing histories, and vital sign documentation.

  • Assist physicians during clinical examinations and procedures.

  • Operate EKG equipment and stress test treadmills.

  • Manage chronic disease and specialty patient care protocols.

  • Perform telephone triage and respond to patient and family concerns.

  • Follow up on physician orders, lab requests, and test results.

  • Provide patient education and discharge instructions.

  • Respond to emergency situations according to nursing standards.

  • Maintain clinic crash cart and defibrillator readiness.

  • Document patient care accurately using EMR systems.

  • Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred:

  • Minimum 3 years of clinical RN experience.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

  • Experience with Centricity EMR software.

  • Prior Oncology or chemotherapy infusion experience.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or Diploma nurses eligible).

  • Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.

  • Current BLS certification.

  • Proficiency with blood pressure monitors, EKG machines, defibrillators, and treadmill equipment.

  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong communication, patient education, and clinical assessment skills.
