Job description

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Ranch Manager at San Pasqual Academy in Escondido, California.
San Pasqual Academy is located on a beautiful 238 acres in rural San Pasqual Valley. SPA is equipped with all the amenities of a private high school, including classrooms, an auditorium, gym, and cafeteria. On grounds sports and activities include basketball, softball, and football. Our unique campus features residential staff and house parents serving as surrogate parents who mentor and tutor students, teach age-appropriate independent living skills, create opportunities to explore new interests, encourage participation in sports and recreation, assist in the exploration of career and job opportunities, and promote family living skills.
Pay: $25/ hr
Position Overview
The Ranch Manager is responsible for overseeing all ranch operations, including land use, maintenance of agricultural spaces, and coordination of youth programming connected to the ranch. This role blends operational management with mentorship, creating opportunities for youth to engage in hands-on learning, responsibility, and skill-building.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily ranch operations, including maintenance of grounds, equipment, and agricultural areas
  • Develop and implement structured programming that teaches youth ranching, agriculture, and life skills
  • Supervise and train staff and youth participating in ranch activities
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, licensing requirements, and organizational policies
  • Coordinate with campus leadership to align ranch programming with overall youth development goals
  • Manage inventory, supplies, and vendor relationships related to ranch operations
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized ranch environment

What We're Looking For
