Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Music Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will utilize music as a therapeutic tool to support the emotional, cognitive, and social needs of clients across various settings. This role involves developing individualized treatment plans, conducting sessions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to enhance the well-being of clients.
Duties
  • Conduct assessments to determine clients' needs and develop personalized music therapy treatment plans.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions using music to address goals related to emotional expression, social interaction, and cognitive functioning.
  • Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions in various settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, or community programs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate clients and families about the benefits of music therapy and provide resources for ongoing support.
  • Stay current with best practices in music therapy and participate in professional development opportunities.
