Uintah County Attorney's Office in Vernal, Utah, is hiring an Entry-Level Deputy
County Attorney (Criminal)!
Are you a recent law school graduate or an attorney with little to no criminal prosecution experience looking for a hands-on role where you can develop strong trial skills, gain valuable courtroom experience, and make a real difference in community safety? Do you want meaningful public service work with excellent mentorship in a supportive environment, while living in one of the most beautiful outdoor settings in Utah? If you're ready to build your career as a prosecutor and trade city stress for mountain views and outdoor adventures, keep reading.
The Entry-Level Deputy County Attorney (Criminal) position offers a competitive salary of $110,000 - $125,000 per year (DOE). This is a full-time role reporting directly to the County Attorney. This opportunity is primarily designed for attorneys with little to no criminal prosecution experience who are eager to learn and grow. You'll handle a variety of criminal cases with opportunities for plea negotiations, motions practice, and trial work. An active Utah State Bar license in good standing is required.
Attorneys with some prior criminal experience are also strongly encouraged to apply - you will be highly considered, and compensation will be adjusted accordingly based on your background and qualifications.
