As an electrical engineer, no experience is necessary to get an entry-level role. In this position, you may design, test, build, and repair electronics and other electrical systems, research the most effective way to install wiring, and use a variety of tools and equipment to get the job done. Many companies use this role as a type of training or apprenticeship where you work under the supervision of a senior electrical engineer to gain additional experience. Entry-level electrical engineers often help prepare complex calculations, measure power flow and system impact, prepare design reports and material specifications, and inspect completed work to ensure it meets all safety and system standards.
