Job Description Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut On-Site: 1 - 2 days in office Shift: 8am - 5pm Job Type: Contract Duration: 1 Year Hourly Rate: Up to $58/hour W2 Vacancies: 1 Project: Steam Power Services, Manufacturing GPE SPS-ITR Clean Combustion Lead Engineer - Controls Engineering (Windsor) LBP Role Description Job Description Summary As a member of the Process and Controls Engineering Team, you will be an active contributor to support the Clean Combustion Parts and Services business. You will be an active member of the team developing tenders and leading contract execution in a role that requires you to work cross-functionally to develop controls solutions based on customer needs as well solve complex problems across the Clean Combustion product line of utility and industrial boilers. You will work as a team player and at times as a task leader, acting with humility, transparency, focus and inclusion; analytically minded, decisive, and collaborative.

Roles and Responsibilities Identify, develop, evaluate, introduce, and manage engineering solutions for product control and control system technology needs. Apply control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors. This includes operability, setting of boundaries, cycle optimization, control logic, control related software, sensors, hardware and software algorithms, and feedback to control the performance of devices, subsystems and control systems.

Work autonomously on complex tasks. Develop complete hour estimate, schedule and material lists for cost estimating from engineering selections and customer requirements. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute business strategy.

Has an understanding of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes, Burner Management Systems and Distributed Control Systems. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others. Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.

Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering codes, policies and procedures. Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.

Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.

Explains information, developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Domestic travel to visit customer sites, <5%. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Electrical Engineering or other engineering discipline with a minimum 6 years of relevant work experience.
