Barback

Barra Santos is a Portuguese restaurant in Cypress Park focused on thoughtful hospitality, quality ingredients, classic cocktails, and an extensive wine program. We are seeking an experienced Barback to join our team.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who can step into a busy service environment and contribute immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain bar stock throughout service, including beer, wine, spirits, glassware, ice, and supplies
  • Prepare garnishes, juices, syrups, and other daily bar prep
  • Change kegs and assist with beverage inventory
  • Wash, polish, and organize glassware
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all bar and storage areas
  • Assist bartenders and managers with operational needs throughout service
  • Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities
  • Work efficiently and maintain a strong sense of urgency throughout service

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of barback experience in a high-volume restaurant, cocktail bar, or similar environment
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
