The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Nutritionist, RD provides optimal nutrition services as an integral part of the healthcare system.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree with major studies in Food and Nutrition- or Dietetics
  • RD or RDN Certification or eligible within 6 months of hire

Preferred:

  • Previous clinical experience

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift
  • Part-Time
  • 20 hours per week

Essential Functions:

  • Assess patient nutritional status, develop and implement nutritional care plans and educate patients and family members about prescribed diets and nutritional information
  • The Clinical Dietitian serves a patient population covering pediatrics to geriatrics
  • Responsible for the assessment/reassessment of patients at nutritional risk as per the standards of CMS, NJDOH, TJC, education/documentation in the EMR for all patients at nutrition risk as well as documentation of ASPEN criteria for malnutrition
  • Competency includes order-writing privileges for diets and tube feedings
  • Responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments. i, e, damaged floors, walls, ceiling tiles, unsecured areas and medical errors, etc.
  • Perform other Duties as assigned
