Job description

Position Summary
Tom Wood Nissan is looking for a dependable, energetic, and detail-oriented Porter / Lot Attendant to join our team. This position plays a vital role in supporting our sales and service departments by maintaining the appearance and organization of dealership grounds, preparing vehicles for display and delivery, and ensuring a positive experience for our customers. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and thrives in a fast-paced team environment. Content adapted from internal Tom Wood lot attendant and porter profiles.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dealership lot, showroom, and parking areas.
  • Move, park, stage, and retrieve vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare vehicles for customer delivery, display, and test drives.
  • Wash, vacuum, and perform basic detailing of vehicles as needed.
  • Assist with inventory organization and vehicle placement.
  • Conduct basic vehicle checks, including fuel levels and tire pressure.
  • Support the service department by transporting vehicles between departments and designated areas.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and professional dealership environment.
  • Greet customers and provide courteous assistance when needed.
  • Assist with dealership events, vehicle deliveries, and special projects.
  • Follow all safety procedures and dealership policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to help others.
  • Customer service experience is a plus.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
