Job description

Location: Butler, PA
Pay: $25-$27/hour (based on experience)
Shift Differential: +$0.75/hour (3 PM - 7 AM)
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7 AM-7 PM / 7 PM-7 AM)
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000

About the Role
JSP is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with proven manufacturing experience to support our Resins operations. This is a hands-on, high-impact role responsible for maintaining uptime, diagnosing equipment issues, and driving reliability improvements across critical production systems.
You'll work with a variety of equipment and systems, requiring strong troubleshooting ability and independent decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute and own preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Diagnose issues with motors, relays, fuses, and PLC-controlled equipment
  • Use diagnostic tools and meters for testing, calibration, and fault isolation
  • Perform fabrication, cutting, and welding as needed
  • Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions
  • Communicate effectively with operations, shift leadership, and maintenance teams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment reliability efforts

Requirements
  • 1 - 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment independently
  • Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
  • Experience working with PLCs and automated systems preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals

Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in an industrial environment
  • Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders
  • Ability to operate or become certified on a forklift
  • Must be able to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including overtime as needed
