To excel as a Night Shift RN, you must possess strong clinical nursing skills, critical thinking abilities, and hold a valid RN license with up-to-date certifications such as BLS or ACLS. They are responsible for a wide range of tasks, including monitoring patients while ensuring continuity of care overnight. Many hospitals provide support through nurse supervisors, robust handoff procedures, and strong team communication practices.
