Job description

Shift: 12 hour Rotating Night Shift (6:00pm - 6:00am)
Summary
The maintenance technician will work with the maintenance team to perform tasks in a safe manner that are in line with standards of PlayCore. This role will be key to helping the plant reach is goals of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. The maintenance technician will set up, adjust, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment with responsibility for Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The duties of the position include the list below but are not limited to,
  • Promotes the Company's mission and values-based culture through maintaining safety, quality, delivery and cost by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Safety: Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations by all employees.
  • Quality: Ensures that machinery is working properly
  • Productivity: Schedules preventive maintenance repairs around production
  • Coordinates machine repairs with supervisors and operators.
  • Conducting routine inspections of equipment.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
  • Diagnosing electrical issues and correcting them.
  • Work with the maintenance team on projects to improve plant performance such as machine rebuilds.
  • Help to maintain parts inventory, communicate when inventory levels are low, and parts need to be ordered.
  • Assist will "die splitting" process.
  • Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • Knowledge of both Metric and SAE tools.
  • Forklift experience or ability to learn to operate.
  • Knowledge of both Low Voltage and High Voltage electrical.
  • Knowledge and ability to perform LOTO.
  • Ability to work with a team or individually as needed.
  • Ability to work weekends as needed.
  • Ability to work night shift.
