Ideal Sushi Supply started in 2017 as the distribution wing of our affiliated Momiji Sushi Bar and Restaurants, which are located all around Oregon. Since then, we have branched out and now proudly serve a vast number of restaurants in our community.
We are currently in the process of moving from our 5,000 sq ft warehouse to a 20,000 sq ft warehouse to accommodate our growth. Position Summary
The Picker Packer is responsible for pulling items that have been ordered from a list and packing them together for shipment or delivery. They make sure all items are accounted for per order, in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assists in receiving and checking in, and signing off on incoming and outgoing products
  • Keeps products separated, organized and in good rotation
  • Communicates with the Inventory, Sales and Purchasing departments regarding low or excess stock items as needed
  • Performs quality control checks on stored inventory that does not meet company standards and reports those issues appropriately
  • Reads and understands purchase orders and invoices
  • Reports discrepancies in inventory that indicate theft, or damaged items
  • Creates and updates databases and records or other data as needed
  • Provides logistical support to warehouse staff and operations
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures
  • Assists colleagues whenever there is an opportunity to do so
  • Ensures the accuracy of the organizations files and documents
  • Maintains the accuracy of historical data and records

Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
  • Has knowledge of products being housed and how to house and pack them properly
  • Must have industry knowledge and background in general warehouse or inventory departments
  • Must be forklift certified or have the ability to become forklift certified
  • Has a working knowledge of the warehouse, and company and how all the locations and departments function in relation to each other
  • Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail with dedication to accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze large sets of data
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment at a fast pace

Physical Requirements and Job Conditions
  • Must be physically able to operate a variety of machines and equipment including, forklift, pallet jack, computer, office equipment, telephone and calculator
  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, stoop and reach with items weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to walk around the warehouse and stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to withstand working in extreme heat or extreme cold found in a warehouse environment.

Salary Description
$17.55 - $25.55 per hour (+$0.5 for night shifts)
