Lead BAS Controls Installer (Night Shift) - HVAC Building Automation - Base Salary to 50.00/hour - Reisterstown, MD

  • Our client, a well-established HVAC building automation provider, is seeking a Lead BAS Controls Installer to support commercial and institutional projects throughout the greater Reisterstown, MD area. This role is focused on installation and field execution of BAS/DDC systems, with a strong emphasis on night shift project work.
  • This is an opportunity to join a stable, team-oriented organization while taking ownership of field installation projects and mentoring junior technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead installation of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Direct Digital Controls (DDC) on commercial and institutional projects
  • Provide direction to installation team members and coordinate subcontractor activities
  • Participate in project preplanning and execution to ensure timely delivery
  • Run control wiring, install conduit, and complete terminations per industry standards
  • Mount, wire, and terminate controllers, sensors, and field devices
  • Troubleshoot wiring issues and installation-related system faults
  • Coordinate work with other trades on active construction sites
  • Identify and escalate customer or project issues as needed
  • Mentor junior installation technicians and support skill development
  • Work night shifts and occasional weekends based on project requirements
  • Perform work in active construction environments, including exposure to weather and open structures

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience installing BAS/DDC systems (not service or maintenance-focused roles)
  • Experience installing systems using one or more of the following platforms: Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, or Tridium Niagara
  • Experience working on commercial, healthcare, government, or institutional construction projects
  • Ability to read and interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation plans
  • OSHA 30 certification or demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety standards
  • Ability to work night shifts consistently, with flexibility for overtime as needed
  • Ability to reliably travel to regional job sites as required

  • Base salary in the 40.00 - 50.00/hour range
