HOURS: MondayFriday, 2:00 PM 10:30 PM. Initial training will be conducted on day shift for approximately 12 weeks from 5:00 AM 3:30 PM.
JOB SUMMARY:
Supervise & coordinate workload for the electrical department while ensuring safety and compliance standards are met and providing technical assistance when necessary; ensures proper execution of scheduled electrical work as directed by production manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a back-up to the production manager for the electrical department
  • Create daily work schedule for electrical team members based on production schedule
  • Review engineering prints and bill-of-materials [BOM] & communicate with production manager, project manager, and engineering regarding any electrical issues or concerns
  • Coordinate with warehouse shipping & receiving managers for material kits and customer furnished equipment [CFE] for project related material
  • Inspect all electrical projects on the floor for precision, speed, and efficiency
  • Ensure all team members have the correct parts, tools, and materials to complete daily assigned tasks
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot any issues that arise on projects
  • Maintain skid status report daily
  • Align new team members with crew leads for electrical processes and procedures
  • Coach team members in areas of performance, attendance, and safety
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Work Experience: 5+ years of supervisory experience in the electrical field. 2+ years of electrical installation and repair experience.
Education: High School Diploma / GED or equivalent. Electrical training from tech school.

APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM:
Module X Solutions partners with local schools to offer employees the option of attending an in-house apprenticeship program. This is an accredited program that takes 4 years to complete. An employee has the option to join and take advantage of this opportunity if they choose to. Upon completion of certain milestones, Module X Solutions will offer regular pay increases as the employee advances throughout the apprentice program.
For Electrical Technicians that meet the Louisiana Licensing Board for Contractors licensing requirements, MXS will reimburse employees for the license renewal fee up to $100 per year, and the one-time testing application fee up to $120.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
