Job description

As the overseer of the hotel during the overnight night shift, the Night Auditor welcomes our guests to the hotel, assures guest requests are handled, reviews and audits the daily transactions, sets the hotel up for a successful new day. The Night Auditor also serves as the main point of contact for any safety, security, or guest relations concerns during the night shift.

As Night Auditor, you will

  • Ensure all aspects of hotel accounting are processed correctly and accurately recorded, protecting the brand and asset against liability and fraud.
  • Audit, balance, post and report on front desk, rooms, and food and beverage transactions.
  • Ensure hotel occupancy is maximized and that all guest accounts are checked in correctly.
  • Run the night audit final, after ensuring all transactions are accurate.
  • Attend to guest needs at the front desk, provide management presence.
  • Prepare limited menu items for guest food and beverage orders as needed.

The Night Auditor contributes to the hotel's commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork and must be the kind of person who appreciates high standards of excellence. The Night Auditor is responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work as well as all Host functions during the overnight shift.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous hospitality experience preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting principles
