Are you someone who loves finding the story hidden inside a dataset? At GALLO, we're looking for an Associate Data Analyst who brings curiosity, creativity, and a collaborative spirit to everything they do.  This is a unique opportunity to blend technology with the art and science of winemaking — and make a real impact from day one.

You'll collect, process, and analyze large datasets to surface trends that inform smarter decisions across our grape growing and winemaking operations.  Using low-code tools, you'll help build applications that consolidate and protect data, and you'll craft dashboards and reports that make complex information accessible to teams across the business.  You'll even get to take your work into the field, visiting vineyards and wineries to support on-site data collection.

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate AND Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math, or Engineering plus 1 year of experience in programming, data analysis, BI reporting, software engineering or software development; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate AND Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience in programming, data analysis, BI reporting, software engineering or software development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Basic level experience with SQL and Python.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy).
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel at an intermediate level
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written with the ability to explain complex issues in an easily understandable manner.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate AND Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math, or Engineering plus 3 year of experience in programming, data analysis, BI reporting, software engineering or software development
  • Previous experience in natural sciences, fermentation, viticulture, or winemaking.
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques
