QUALIFICATIONS: 1.ย ย  High school diploma

  1. Preferably college experience
  2. Computer experience
  3. Knowledge of card catalog, Dewey Decimal System
  4. Experience working with children

REPORTS TO:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Media Generalist/Building Administrator
JOB GOAL:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Smooth and efficient operation of the school library
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
ย 





  1. Deliver lessons prepared by media generalist.
  2. Circulate books to students and staff.
  3. Maintain an accurate shelf list and computerized card catalogue.
  4. Help with annual book fair.
  5. Prepare annual book inventory.
  6. Read to students.
  7. Assist students with book selection.
  8. Develop instructional displays in library.
  9. Process magazines/periodicals/books
  10. Coordinate school library volunteers.
  11. Operate library computers.
  12. Maintain an organized, clean, pleasant library environment.
  13. Shelve books, magazines and software.
  14. Prepare and distribute overdue notices.
  15. Repair damaged books.
  16. Assist students in locating information and project research.
  17. Maintain discipline in the library.
  18. Request library supplies.
  19. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
