The Central Maryland Chamber is the primary business resource and advocate made up of Anne Arundel, Baltimore City, Carroll, Harford, Howard, Prince George's County, as well as Baltimore County. CMC has a population of over 2.7 million people. Central Maryland has the 4th highest median household income in the U.S. Central Maryland is home to the Baltimore Orioles MLB, the Baltimore Ravens NFL, and the Navy Midshipmen. CMC's Education Foundation that has invested over $1,000,000 in scholarships for STEM, vocational school and “Frist Generation” activities.

We focus on advocacy for small business, economic development, as well as promoting and connecting member businesses. Our goal is to be the conduit for commerce. Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Director of Marketing & Sales. The Director of Marketing & Sales will be responsible for managing our social media platforms, taskforce, prospective/new members, sales operations, providing excellent customer service, leading and developing volunteers, and driving business development efforts. The role will be based in Odenton, MD. (Location subject to change)

Qualifications

  • Advanced in Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Tiktok, etc.
  • Sales and Business Development skills
  • Experience in sales operations and customer service
  • Strong volunteer management and leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM software
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions
  • Experience in the chamber of commerce or nonprofit sector is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
