Software Engineer - Nexus OS

Software Engineer - Nexus OS job at Nexus. San Francisco, CA.

Nexus is innovating at the intersection of artificial intelligence, blockchain, and zero-knowledge cryptography to build a Layer 1 for the AI era. Our team of world-leading experts is developing the Nexus Layer 1 blockchain, Nexus zkVM, and other breakthrough products with the goal of creating a verifiable world.

Nexus has raised $25M in Series A funding from Lightspeed, Pantera, Dragonfly, SV Angel, and more.

We are headquartered in San Francisco, and this role will be an in-person, hybrid role with the rest of the Nexus team.

The Nexus OS team is responsible for the user interface of the Nexus ecosystem, consisting of a web app and Rust-based CLI. This team blends top-tier engineers with great designers to bring the best possible user experience to the ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Work alongside top-tier designers to create intuitive, high-quality user experiences (e.g., TypeScript, Next.js, CSS).
  • Integrate the Rust-based zkVM into a web application by compiling to WebAssembly.
  • Improve and enhance the Rust-based CLI experience.
Requirements
  • Passion for building frontend and backend systems.
  • Experience with TypeScript, React/Next.js, and modern web technologies.
  • Familiarity with Rust and WebAssembly.
  • Desire to iterate based on user feedback and product-market fit.
  • Embrace AI as a core part of how you work, think, and build.
